Specialized skin care is a complex care task on the MSA-1904 approved list. This includes systematic skin inspection, application of prescribed barrier creams, repositioning schedules to prevent pressure injury, and monitoring for early signs of breakdown.

  • Head-to-toe skin inspection during bathing or repositioning
  • Application of barrier creams and prescribed ointments
  • Scheduled repositioning (every 2 hours for bed-bound individuals)
  • Pressure-relieving pad and mattress overlay management
  • Incontinence-associated dermatitis prevention
  • Documenting and reporting skin changes to the care team
