From First Call to First Paycheck
We guide you through every step of the enrollment process so your family can focus on what matters. Here is exactly what happens after you reach out.
Check Your Eligibility
Fill out our short form or give us a call. We ask a few simple questions to confirm that your loved one likely qualifies for Michigan Medicaid Home Help.
We Handle Paperwork
Once we confirm eligibility, we take over. Our team prepares and submits all required state forms with you. You never have to navigate a government website or figure out what to sign on your own.
The State Reviews Your Application
A state representative contacts your loved one to schedule a home visit. During this visit, they assess the care needs and authorize the number of hours covered each month. We prepare you for what to expect.
Start Getting Paid
Once approved, you begin providing care and submitting timesheets. We handle payroll, taxes, workers' compensation, and everything behind the scenes. You get paid every Friday.
Questions About the Process
How long does the whole process take?
Per Medicaid policy, the state has up to 45 business days to approve or reject an application. In practice, once your loved one's Medicaid is confirmed and the home assessment is scheduled, things move relatively quickly. We guide you through every step and keep you informed so nothing falls through the cracks.
Do I need to do anything during the state review period?
Not much. We handle the follow-up with the state. You may need to help your loved one schedule and prepare for the in-home assessment visit. We'll tell you exactly what to expect before that happens.
What if my loved one doesn't have Medicaid yet?
We help you apply. We guide families through the Michigan Medicaid application on MI Bridges and help gather the required documents. Getting Medicaid approved adds time to the process, but we stay with you through it.
Is there any cost to enroll?
None. The state funds this program through Medicaid and pays our agency directly. Families never pay a fee — not to apply, not to enroll, not ever.
