Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Downriver Health is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that the families we serve — including seniors, people with disabilities, and their caregivers — deserve a website they can use without barriers.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review and improve our website and are committed to maintaining and improving our level of accessibility over time.

Measures We Take

To support accessibility, Downriver Health takes the following measures:

  • Use of semantic HTML elements to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors.
  • Keyboard navigability throughout the site without requiring a mouse.
  • Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images.
  • Clear, consistent heading structure (one h1 per page, logical h2/h3 hierarchy).
  • Form labels and error messages that are descriptive and associated with their fields.
  • Responsive design that works across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.
  • Respect for users’ reduced-motion preferences via CSS media queries.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and address any gaps. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know so we can address it promptly.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you experience any barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:
