Shopping and Errands

Shopping and errands are approved IADL tasks under the Home Help Program. Caregivers accompany the care recipient or shop on their behalf, picking up groceries, collecting prescriptions, and handling other essential errands.

  • Weekly grocery shopping (with or without care recipient)
  • Pharmacy and prescription pickup
  • Returning items and managing receipts
  • Bank and post office errands as needed
  • Keeping a running household shopping list
  • Transportation to appointments if authorized
